Von Südamerika zum Aufbruch in eine neue Ära

Die Tonkabohne wurde erstmals 1775 von Jean Baptiste Fusée Aublet beschrieben. Ursprünglich aus Südamerika, wurde sie zur Linderung von Krämpfen und Asthma genutzt. Ihr süßes, warmes Aroma mit Vanille-, Heu- und Mandelnoten machte sie im 18. Jahrhundert in Europa schnell beliebt.

Historische Meilensteine der Parfümeurskunst

Im 19. Jahrhundert wurde die Tonkabohne in Fougère- und orientalischen Parfums verwendet. Fougère Royale (1882) von Paul Parquet und Jicky (1889) von Aimé Guerlain setzten ihren warmen, weichen Duft in den Mittelpunkt und prägten die Parfümerie nachhaltig.

Essenz und Ursprung

Heute ist die Tonkabohne in Gourmand-Düften begehrt. Brasilianische Bohnen werden nachhaltig geerntet, getrocknet, in Rum eingelegt und extrahiert. Ihr süßer, würzig-holziger Duft verleiht modernen Parfums Tiefe, Wärme und raffinierte Eleganz.
