Die prestigeträchtigen Früchte aus Fernost

Zitrusfrüchte wie Mandarinen werden seit über 3.000 Jahren in China angebaut. Bekannt für ihre feine Schale, leuchtende Farbe und zarte Süße, galten sie als Delikatesse. Im 18. Jahrhundert kamen sie nach Europa und wurden wegen Geschmack und Aroma geschätzt.

1792-1853

Historische Meilensteine der Parfümeurskunst

Zitrusnoten fanden im 17. Jahrhundert ihren Weg in die Parfümerie. Wilhelm Mülhens kreierte 1792 ein „Acqua Mirabilis“ mit intensiven Zitrusnoten. 1853 entwickelte Guerlain das Eau de Cologne Impèriale, das Mandarinen, Neroli und Rosmarin zu einer frischen, leichten Komposition vereinte.

HEUTE

Essenz und Ursprung

Zitrusnoten werden heute über ihre Frische hinaus weiterentwickelt, oft kombiniert mit unerwarteten Akkorden oder verstärkten Zitrusfacetten. Unser Mandarinenöl aus Kalabrien liefert ein knackiges, leicht säuerliches Aroma. Es wird durch Kaltpressung gewonnen, wodurch der spritzige Charakter erhalten bleibt.
