Valued for centuries, Haji Ajmal Ali began trading oud in the 1950s and created Mukhallat, his first fragrance, in 1987. Western perfumers took up the wood in the early 2000s – a milestone is Tom Ford's Oud Wood, which brought the depth and allure of agarwood to global recognition.

Today, oud is considered a symbol of elegance, sensuality, and opulence. It is used neat, with musk, amber, or in fruity-floral compositions. Our oud comes from the Aquilaria tree in Southeast Asia, whose rare resin forms the base. Oud lends fragrances depth, intensity, and a timeless, woody-smoky elegance.
